Welcome to our Blog!

It is time again for our true story to be told.

Our last name is Walczuk, we know some of you cannot pronounce it, so to help it sounds like: “Vowel-chook”. You’ve all got it now, right?

Our ancestor’s come from the country of Poland (please bear witness to this story…) My first name is Renata and I have written this blog in my second language of English.

I was born and raised in Poland, my husband Lee Michael is from a third generation of Polish emigrants, born in the United States. Our destiny together turns out to be very romantic . . .

Back in the early eighties I met Lee Michael in Poland behind the iron curtain, before the Berlin wall fell. Just like most of you might fantasize about meeting your future spouse, we found each other, simply on the street. To be specific it was the International Street Festival in Wrocław. Lee Michael, passionate about theatre, masks and mime was performing that day as Pierrot, while I was dancing as Columbina, (not quite, I was just a skinny schoolgirl standing in the crowds.)

So the story goes on… Later we were happily married during a different theatre festival in Poland and here is a BW photo to prove it!

The Walczuk family has six members now; three sons and a daughter joined our circle.

One day we journeyed to the middle of the Pacific to the most active volcanic island called by the nick name the Big Island of Hawaii. There under the tropical Sun, sky shining with stars at night, surrounded by sharks, visited by tsunami, hurricane and of course hot lava flow…we settled in and call it home sweet home.

To survive in Hawai’i you have to become an entrepreneur or die! So we have established three businesses just in case.

Walczuk Productions LLC specializes in photography and videography. Our company is made from family members. Lee Michael carries a torch as the videographer, Renata as a photographer. Both of us have a Fine Art background. Here is our photo:

Our oldest son Mikołaj (Miko) is a very talented young photographer presently living in the Orient. He has found joy in Japan, China and Korea. Here is Miko:

Our other three children are busy students, practising the visual arts, performing arts and loving Life!
