Alex’s First Birthday Party

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Ariel and Brendon got married two years ago. I was honored to be their wedding photographer. Now looking at the next chapter of their union I was witnessing another very special day in their life last Saturday. Their first child Alex was celebrating with all the Ohana and friends her first birthday. What a party ! See for yourself that takes a town ( of Hilo) to raise a child….

The arrival of Mom and Alex. The surprise party is waiting…

Alex’s expression was visible. She came to the colorful room with balloons , candies, decorations, life music and even her own larger then life-size portrait on the wall! That portrait is going to stay in someone’s bedroom.

The greetings began, hand shaking and ” give me five” was going around and around.

Young grandmother Yvonne got her turn to hold Alex finally, what a joy!

Few photo picks on extraordinary seafood buffet. Home baked goods came here too.

The youngest and most important members from the guest’s list arrived , ready to party.

Applauding the crowd.

After the meal and hugs it was definitely time for nap.

Family Old Photo Album

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Recently I was honor to work and restore some of the old  photos from the Portugal Family who emigrated to Hawaii in 19 century. One of their members is building a Generation Tree to create unforgettable memories for the present and the future. I am displaying just few teasers with her permission where I allow myself to “interpreted” them with the artistic touches. What a pleasure!

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

Brandy returned from Colorado to her native Hawaii to tied the knot with Josh at the Trinity Community Church last Saturday. We were all very moved by the family love and emotions expressed throughout the whole event. At the end of the day , we the photographers and videographer team felt very honor and humble to record this beautiful wedding for the new Ohana. Congratulations!

I like to thank our son Miko who came from Oahu living his busy life between his photo shooting. You did a terrific job!
